Bombed!

Filed under: Both of Us — flower at 11:42 am on Tuesday, August 15, 2006

While giving out the wedding invites, some friends’ first reactions were ‘Oh no, red bomb!’ Which basically means, they are ’summoned’ to give the customary ‘ang pow’ should they decide to attend the dinner. I would just like to clarify one thing. It is a very special event for Michael and I and we would be honoured to have our friends and family grace the occassion. The point is not the giving of ang pow, but to share that moment with people who matter to us. So, if you got ‘bombed’, do take it positively because you mean that much to us and we would welcome you with open arms even if you came empty handed. :)

Yep, looks like I’m beginning to hear such expressions too. It’s kinda funny, but let’s face it. It sounds kinda negative, eventhough I look at it in a hilarious context.
I’m thinking now, should we have some red grenades on the guest seats?
:P

I’m very happy to be “bombed.” Susan and I are very excited about the occasion and are very much looking forward to having fun and enjoying the festivities. It will be a chance to catch up and see everybody looking their best. I wouldn’t miss it.
